The Boler Battery Burner is once again cancelled for this year due to lack of registrations
News (July 20th):
Singles! Yes, we're able to accept and produce single jerseys from now on! Check out the LMBC Jersey page for details.
Reduced rides Four rides per week was perhaps a bit ambitious for our young club. We will be reducing the number of weekly rides to 1 to 3 depending on circumstances and weather and hopefully see a better turnout at each. Keep an eye on the calendar and forum for the latest details.
LMBC road trip #2 saw a great turnout. Good weather and awesome trail destinations made for an awesome day of riding.
Boler Battery Burner: Check out the details in the July 7th post.
LMBC road trip #3 will be at Hardwood Hills August 29th. Mark your calendar! If you've never been, you're in for a treat. If you have been, you shouldn't need much convincing to come on out and make the drive with us to one of the best trail destinations in Ontario.
T-shirts? Would you like to see club t-shirts being made? Let us know in the forum.
News (July 7th):
This front page hasn't been seeing the most updates, but don't forget that all the most current news and information always gets posted on the forum, almost on a daily basis. But here are some current tidbits of news:
Jerseys are out on the trails and they look great! They look great from up close and they look great from afar! We will be setting up a second order soon due to more interest, or we may even have the ability to get singles produced with a short turn around time.
Group rides have seen many cancellations due to weather but most have gone on as planned. Don't forget to check the forum and calendar for locations and weather updates. If a ride is called off due to weather, it is usually called off by 4pm.
LBMC road trip #1 to Kelso/Hilton Falls had to unfortunately be cancelled. We had no ride leaders available to commit to the day. We'd love to have more ride leaders within the club, so let us know if you are interested.
LMBC road trip #2 is planned for Sunday July 18th at the WCC trails (formerly known as Hydrocut) and Puslinch Lake. Watch the forum for details. Two great trail systems in one day!
Boler Battery Burner is back for 2010! Support a great local event and meet more local riders!

May 2009: The inaugural meeting was a great success!
A great gathering of enthusiastic mountain bikers took place May 5th at East Side Marios at which LMBC was officially started. An excellent brain storming session took place, with all present contributing to a poster full of ideas (which was later digitized for easier portability!).
Nominations were placed for directing roles at the start of the club, with the following 5 people making up the board of directors.
President: Chris P. (kinboy) Vice-president: Yann (Yanner) Trails and Memberships Liaison: Craig A. (ccaddy) Treasurer: Corum (XC23) Secretary: Andrew (Frankenbiker)
If you've already joined, we'd like to thank you for having faith in what we are trying to achieve and you'll hear from us very shortly. We hope to soon streamline our membership process to make it even easier for prospective members to get in on the action
_________________________________________________________________________________________________ What is this site?
What will I find here?
Currently, you'll find a very active discussion forum. Members use it to for barter and exchange, get help with technical issues or choosing a new bike, and to coordinate group rides. Soon, this site will begin hosting tons of information about everything to do with mountain biking in London!
Are there any MTB clubs around?
This is one of the reasons the site was started. There are currently no official affiliated club in London (just race teams). One of the purposes of this site was to bring together a group of interested individuals to start a club who's interests will be racing, recreation, group events and trail advocacy. This is why the London Mountain Bike Club was born. Want to get involved or just get more information? Just post on the discussion forum, or email us at londonmtb@gmail.com
